Sweet Curls

I love Andrew's hair. It is wild. I have no idea how to brush it. He also has no part. And I love all of those things about his hair. I love the color of his hair (strawberry blond).

I am not sure when he will get his first hair cut. I am waiting to see if it will get curlier.

Morning funny

Andrew watches Fireman Sam while I get him dressed in the morning. He LOVES this show. This morning while we were eating breakfast and watching the news Andrew tells us he wants to watch "fire Sam". I told him we only watch that when we get ready. He goes to his room to play (we think). Then 5 minutes or so later he comes back to the kitchen with a shirt and his shoes. He gives them to me and says "watch fire Sam". Owen and I laughed so hard. Andrew is so funny. Owen told him he needed pants to complete his outfit so off Andrew went back to his room. However he got distracted and played until we really had to get ready.

He makes us laugh on a daily basis ;)

Valentines Day 2012

Valentines Day 2012 was a good day for me. Andrew stayed at home so we could go to Mommy and Me together. I brought Sam with me and was nervous about it for two reasons. 1- he hasn't had his 8 week shots yet and 2 - I was worried it would be overwhelming. Well, yes it was overwhelming. Andrew was a WILD man and Sam didn't sleep like I had planned. I take FULL responsibility for Andrew being wild, b/c I thought it would be a good idea to have a Valentine inspired king cake for breakfast (it's like a doughnut - right?)! Well that sugar high lasted until 7 pm.

Yes, it was overwhelming and I questioned myself numerous times during the hour and a half we were at Mommy and Me but the picture of the three of us is the reason I wanted to go. We made memories and I love this picture.

I have had a couple of struggles lately with figuring out how to parent two babies but Valentines Day gave me a little preview that I am doing ok and that Andrew and Sam will have fun memories together. I could cry right now typing this - I am not stable, but working on it. :) I realize I need to chill out and live and enjoy life's moments and even though I tell myself that repeatedly - my instinct is to worry and try to control life - which does not work out. I know this...so the point of me typing this is to remember that sometimes I can be a basket case and to snap back into reality.

So back to reality I go...the boys got new pjs for Valentines Day. Andrew got elmo pjs and Sam got firetruck pjs. Andrew was equally excited for Sam as he was about his own. Andrew also got dinosaur toys and a new plate and cup. Sam got his inchbug labels for his bottles at daycare. They also got sweet cards and happies from Grandmom, Granddad, Aha and Mick!

Here a few more pictures of our Valentines Day

Our First Born

Ralphie has been loving my time at home. He has the lay of the land and rotates to the sunny spot of the house for his lounging. Honestly he doesn't even pay attention to us anymore. Between Andrew playing and Sam's cries - Ralphie is stress free. Here is an example of this worry free pooch.

Ralphie also got a new toy to play with this week...

To top off the week, Ralphie went to the spa yesterday. He is now clean and sporting a new "Scarf" :)

Mommy and Me with out the Mommy

Andrew has been able to attend Mommy and Me a couple of times with our good friends Ms. Amanda, Brantley and Emery. What a treat it has been for him. We are so lucky to have such good friends. Ms. Amanda sends me pictures through out the class so I can see all the fun :) Sam and I will start going in March.

Here are some pictures of Andrew and his friends. What fun memories he (and I) are making.

Amanda picks Andrew up in the morning and then takes all three kids into class using her handy red wagon!

This melts my heart!!! Brantley and Andrew walking into class together...love this :)

Snack Time!!!

I am glad Andrew is able to go to Mommy and Me! This adventure created many firsts for us, specifically riding in Amanda's car was the first time he went some where with a non family member.

Again, love that Andrew is able to enjoy this time with his friends.

Sam is so strong

I remember Andrew being a strong baby and Sam is no different. He holds his head up so well and can balance for a few seconds. He does mini push ups on my stomach and pushes with his legs. He is a great baby. I am still getting used to being a mom to two boys. I think I am putting too much pressure on myself to be perfect and to not let Andrew feel slighted. However the down side is I feel like I am slighting Sam and my heart and head go into a tail spin. It will work out - I just need to relax. I know that telling Andrew to wait a second for my attention or for Sam to cry a little longer than I would prefer while I am finishing up something with Andrew is normal. But it hurts my heart while I try to figure out this balancing act. I just pray I figure it out before I go crazy.

Here is a picture of Sam showing off his strength.

Andrew also wanted to have tummy time :)

weekend with the four of us

We are still getting adjusted with the four of us. Weekends are interesting because we don't have much going on but we have an active 2 year old who needs to be out and about yet we need to stay home for the little man. But we did manage to get some fresh air in our own back yard.

Other things we did this weekend was Owen painted our bedroom and we planted three plants in the back yard. We are slowly crossing things off our house to do list.
