Big Day for Andrew - major milestone

Last night I had a meeting so Owen was on parenting duty. When the meeting was over I got out my phone to text Owen so he would know I was on my way home. To my surprise I had a text from Owen that Andrew poo-pooed in the potty. He also sent me a picture - I will spare you the image :)

We bought him a potty two weekends ago b/c Andrew had started telling us before he actually poo-pooed so we thought we needed to have a potty ready so when he tells us we can show him where to go. Last night it worked. He told Owen he had to go, Owen got up and they hurried to the potty. He gave him a book to "read" b/c he didn't know how long this would last. Owen was cheering him on and making him sit until something happened and you know what - something happened! Music started playing - we got the royal potty and it plays royal trumpet sounds, etc...when something hits it.

We still aren't "potty" training per-say but we are celebrating this big accomplishment!!! Go ANDREW GO!!! We are so proud.

"Go Dawgs Go"

This week at M&M, Andrew's class is learning about football. That topic is one of my favorites - especially MSU football. Yesterday they were asked to wear their favorite teams shirt. Only 3 kids in the class participated, but they represented the state well. A little girl wore a Southern Miss gingham outfit, one little boy had on an Ole Miss shirt and Andrew wore is MSU shirt. I like when his class has themed days.

Weekend Recap

We had a nice weekend at home. We hung more pictures and organized the garage enough to put 2 cars in it now. That was a major goal of Owen's. I had a small anxiety attack about Andrew's and Sam's room. I really don't like the way Andrew's is set up. I loved how we had in the old house. Everything was bought and placed in the perfect spot. Now I feel like nothing fits. Then we haven't started on Sam's room and I have anxiety about that. But luckily Owen can talk me down from my nervous breakdowns and I think we have a plan. We did not do anything toward our plan...b/c the plan is in steps...but knowing there is a plan is half the battle, right?

We played outside in the sprinkler to keep cool, we went to the pool, we ran errands and had a really good time.

Thursday Play Dates

Andrew had his friend Brantley over for a Thursday play date a couple of Thursdays ago. This was Brantley, her mom and sister Emery's first visit to our new house. One of the best things about the house is Andrew can play in many rooms with out me hovering over him too much. So the kids went into his room for a while and Amanda and I noticed it was pretty quiet so we went to check on them...this is what we found :)

These two are really too precious!

20 - 23 weeks

This is me and Sam at 20 weeks. Things have been going well for us. I feel better this month. The four month hang over has gone way - thank goodness.

He is an active little guy. I feel him numerous times of the day. I love feeling him. It catches me off guard and then I smile because I love knowing he is going through the day with me. He isn't big enough for Owen to fell yet, but those days are coming.

I think I have narrowed down his room decor. It will be animals like Andrew, but not necessarily Noah's Ark. It is called Jungle room and the colors are brown, lime green and teal blue with elephants and giraffes. We are thinking of getting the other 2x2 picture from Walter Anderson - the opposite one that Andrew has in his room. But then we don't know if we aren't being creative enough. We love those prints so that is why we are leaning towards it.

I still haven't developed any cravings with this pregnancy. I love eating french fries but I don't necessarily know if that is because I am pregnant or b/c I love french fries. I remember with Andrew specifically being in need of ice cream and fried pickles. Of course I could still eat those two things now, but it is not a need.

Actually instead of having cravings, I have more aversions to food. I really can not eat or cook chicken. I still like chicken nuggets but only from certain places. I have a hard time eating really sweet things like strawberry desserts. Chocolate still does not seem to be a problem for me - thank heavens!

Our next appointment is 8/30/11 and I am looking forward to hearing his heartbeat again. I can't believe I will be 6 months pregnant in a week!

Like Father, Like Son

Owen loves jeeps. He has had several jeeps since he was 16. He recently got a new jeep Cherokee. I can't tell who likes the jeep more, Andrew or Owen. Andrew loves to get in the jeep, explore, and touch everything - just like his dad. Andrew gets the biggest grin and is the happiest when he gets to ride in the jeep.

Western Day at School

On Andrew's last day of "school" they had a Western Day themed dress up day and party. The parents brought snacks and I got everyone in his class the tummy tickler drinks. Andrew loves these and they are great b/c they don't spill. Here are some pictures of Andrew's day.

20 Months

Andrew turned 20 months on 8/3/2011. Hard to believe he will be 2 in 4 months. Owen is working on asking Andrew how old he is and for Andrew to answer 2. Andrew almost has it.

We have seen such growth in Andrew. Some of the things he is doing are:

* He adores Ralphie. He has always liked Ralphie but there is a new found love that has been discovered over the past few weeks.
* He loves fruit. He does not eat alot of chicken or meat at all for that matter. He loves hot dogs and will eat ham. However at school he eats all sorts of things. I think he is the hungriest at lunch.
* He usually tells Owen what he wants for breakfast - breakfast is daddy and Andrew time.
* He has renamed Gramps - Mick and Grandy - Ahah..it is really funny.
* He is very good at pointing pictures out of books, like bike, bucket, truck, etc...
* Academy Sports is building in Hattiesburg and Andrew loves going by the work site. He gets giddy over the "big trucks" and the dirt mountains.
* He is putting words together very well. He gets shy when learns something new until he feels he has master it and then will say or do the new thing loud and clear.
* He sings along to some of his songs on his cd we play in the car.
* He LOVES going outside. I am going to have to start putting bug spray on him though b/c the poor thing gets eaten alive by mosquitoes even if we are outside for 10 minutes.
* He is such a joy to be around and so fun.
* We are keeping up with our night time routine. We have dinner b/ 5-5:30 and then bath at 6 pm followed by bed time. I think he plays so hard during the day that he is so tired by 6 pm. I enjoy our night time story time and hugs and kisses before bed.
* He still takes two short naps on the weekends and one nap at school.
* He moved to the older one year class this month and made a smooth transition. It helped that he already knew the teacher and most of the kids in his class. When he moves to the younger 2 year old class, we will start the potty training process.

Andrew and Ralphie Playing

Since we have moved Andrew and Ralphie have become so close. Andrew loves on Ralphie every minute of the day when we are home. It is so sweet (yet gross at the same time b/c Andrew likes to lick and mimic Ralphie - I try to ignore that it is gross). Here is a video of the two of them. Thankfully Ralphie is very patient with Andrew.

I have more pictures and Andrew's 20 month post ready but we have lost our computer cord and the computer needs to be charged.

"Inspired by Love, Created by God"

Friday Owen and I found out we are having another boy! Samuel "Sam" Marshall Munton will be born on 12/27/11. I can't believe I will have two sons! I am over joyed that Andrew will have a brother. Sam was the cutest thing in the ultrasound. He was moving and twisting so much. We could see his hands moving up and down. We got so many great pictures of our little son.

There are so many emotions running through me right now. I can't wait to meet Sam. I love saying his name and hearing his name. Today Andrew went into Sam's room and saying "you are in Sam's room" melted my heart.

When we found out we were pregnant with Sam I wondered how I could love someone as much as Andrew, but the minute we Sam squirming around on the ultrasound screen - I knew. Your heart really does grow and I knew he was going to be my baby and I am one lucky lady to have all these men in my life.

20 weeks to go until we bring Sam into this world - What a wonderful Christmas this year will be.

Andrew at Grandy and Gramp's House

This weekend, Andrew got to spend quality time playing with his Grandy and Gramps. Here are two pictures Grandy sent Owen.

He played hard and had a great time!

We have moved!

Down the street one mile :) We found the perfect 4 bedrooms, one story house in our same neighborhood. I could not be more happy with the house. However today Owen and I are exhausted! Owen's parents watched Andrew all weekend - we could not have done all we did with out that help. The new house is a wreck but all our boxes are in and now we have to unpack. We are renting our other house so there are some things still there that we have to get. Which makes the moving process not feel 100% yet. We also don't know which room Andrew is going to get until we find out if we are having a boy or a girl so there are some things still up in the air and a little bit of feeling unsettled - but it is exciting. I LOVE this house. Everything about it is perfect and I can see us being very happy here for a very long time.
