More snap shots from March 2017

This was a lepricon trap Sam made

Fun times at Emery's 6th birthday party

These boys love a good bubble bath! Bath Boms with toys inside are their favorite thing when it comes to taking a bath.

My Special Day 2017

Andrew understands special days now. He has even picked July 4th as his day. So on March 17 - St. Patrick's day he orchestrated the best day for me. He worked with Aha and Sam to make me breakfast in bed and said that his gift to me (from both Sam and him) was to do what I asked the first time I asked - :)

Spring Break 2017

We were very fortunate to be able to spend spring break at the Munton's condo. The weather was chilly but not unbearable. The kids did not seem to mind. Owen worked some while we were there so it was me and kids at the beach . They are at the perfect ages to play in the sand. That is all they did. Play! I was even able to read a book while they played. I think this was my favorite beach/spring break trip yet.

We also went to Fort Morgan on this trip. It was amazing. Sam REALLY enjoyed it. He was talkative, excited, and imagining how the fort was when it was a working fort. Sam likes to play army with figurines and tanks and planes so seeing a real life fort was really neat to him.

It was a great family trip...one that we all needed!!

March 2017

Baseball started in March. Both boys are playing and doing really well. Andrew does tell us constantly that baseball is not his sport. Looks like this will be our last year for Andrew. I am not sure if Sam will do it or not without Andrew.

Andrew is on team Sweet Peppers
Sam is on team Hicks Law Firm

Boy Scouts - Andrew is now a Tiger Cub

Owen was the leader for Andrew's den. He did boy scouts through Parkway United Methodist Church. It seemed to have leadership gaps so Owen did not have much guidance. Andrew LOVED it and friends from school are in his den. But we are thinking of changing packs only because we heard the one closer to us is more organized. We will see though.

A Terrible Rash

I am only documenting this so I can remember what date it was that we discovered Sam is allergic to omnicef. He broke out in this terrible rash 5 days into taking the medicine. The pediatrician said it was a side effect of the medicine but put in his file that he is allergic to it.

Oh Ralphie - you need to be more discreet

While Sam and I were home from him being sick, Ralphie decided to side swipe Sam's lunch. But he did not make a smooth move because the napkin was stuck to his mouth and he had no idea. Ralphie was acting like nothing happened. It was the funniest moment of the day.

Andrew's AR Pizza Hut coupon

Andrew loves to read and he likes to get AR points. It brings out a positive competitor in him. This is him cashing in on his coupon :)

February 2017

February 2017 was a busy month. The fire station pictures are from Catholic Schools Week. Andrew's class had the Hattiesburg Fire Department as their community helper. The class donated snacks for them firefighters to keep handy while they work their shifts. I was able to take 5 of his classmates to the fire station to give them the basket full of goodies. It was a huge laundry basket of snacks. The firefighters were very grateful and gave these 5 kids the best tour!

Also in February the boys participated in USM's fan day. They went to a mini camp and had a great time. They met the players who signed posters for them. And the head Coach - Coach Barry gave them a great pep talk. I think the boys enjoyed themselves. Sam on his own wore a MSU shirt underneath his jacket. He is a funny boy. :)

SOCK HOP TIME!!! Also during Catholic Schools week Pre-k through 2nd grade got to have a sock hop! I planned it and was really happy with how it turned out. USM dancers helped us with the dances. They were spot on with the 1950s style theme of dance. It was such a cute day and one I will remember.

Valentines Day!! Also a favorite holiday. The boys got "glittery eye" stuffed animals and something else (can't remember). Owen got me flowers which were beautiful. I got him a shirt. It is a fun day to celebrate love and family. Sam's class had a party and I was able to attend that.

Meet Rosie - Mick and Aha's new golden retriever puppy. We wanted Ralphie to meet her to see how he would do with a puppy. And not surprising (because Ralphie is the best dog) Ralphie showed Rosie nothing but love. It was cute to watch him play with her.

Andrew is in tiger cups this year. Owen is the den leader. It was a good year. I think both Owen and Andrew really enjoyed it. These pictures are from the pinewood derby. Owen really got into building this car. He put a lot strategy into and it paid off. Andrew won 1st place in the tiger cup group. It was a fun day. Mick and Aha also came to watch the races.

Silly picture of Sam's Pre-K class. I think this is when we went to Laurel, MS on the train. After the train we went to a really neat park and played and had lunch. He was a sweet class.

MARDI GRAS PARADE!! We did not really get into mardi gras this year. Next year I hope to take the boys to a parade in Mobile. But luckily SHS held a parade and the kids got to enjoy that. We also had a couple of days off which was very nice.

Andrew at Waffle House - he ate 2 waffles by himself - this was a first so we took a picture.
