Thanksgiving program

Andrew is now at the age where the Thanksgiving program was fun and the kids knew the words to the songs. Andrew was an Indian - Black Hawk!

And they are funny stories :)
Andrew is a kid now - not a baby - he is learning and growing every day - Thankful for this sweet child.

Sam is 23 months!!!

WHAT! How is it possible that this boy is almost 2 years old. My heart can not take it.

He is not feeling well

His face is changing by the day. He is getting taller by the minute. His head is now over our kitchen table. He sits in a big chair. The high chair went to the attic a while ago.

Sam is speaking more and is a very polite baby. He says please and thank you perfectly. He even said "bless you" to me the other day after I sneezed.

He has such funny expressions and still cracks little jokes. He LOVES to be chased. This is his favorite game.
He is a good shopper (this is me showing some of my favorites - peppermint mocha and Sam )
He also likes to do whatever is the opposite. For example you say cat, he says dog. You say bus, he says truck. You say cheese, he says yogurt. It is such a fun game :)

He loves is 6:00 pm bed time. In fact he is much more adamant about that than I remember Andrew being. He gets so fussy and tired. If it is too late he will start saying "night night - bed".

He still likes Mickey Mouse and trucks. He LOVES his big brother. This is the month that two of them like to be with each other. They play and their voices get louder and their play gets rowdier. Owen and I think it is fun to watch but it does usually end in tears.

Here is a picture of their school picture. I can see brotherly love happening right before our eyes and it makes this momma so very happy!!!

One more month until the big 2 YEARS OLD!!! I still can't believe it. But I am so happy and proud of our Samuel. He is a charmer and loves life. We just adore this sweet and active little guy.

Andrew and mommy go to the theater

This weekend the Saenger Theater showed Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I thought Andrew would like to go. We had ourselves a mommy and son date. I love him and these moments. He watched it and was very interested in everything that was going on.

I hate it is blurry!

In his seat and ready! He was so excited!!!

Halloween 2013

We had a couple of friends over for trick or treating and ordered pizza again this year. I ordered way too much though - I guess I thought I was feeding an army. It was going to storm Halloween night and it in fact did rain but we were lucky enough to be inside when the downpour happened.

Our street has alot of kids on it which is great but that leaves few houses open for trick or treating business. I think the kids stopped at 5 houses but they had fun and that is the whole point.

Andrew was a pirate - he changed his mind 1000 times, but since we had one costume - he remained a pirate. He was a cross between Jake the Pirate and a Buccaneer. Sam was a scare crow and he was right there with the big kids running from house to house. Sam amazes me at how much he wants to be like his brother.

M&M had a costume day as well on Halloween. Andrew wore his costume all day and loved every minute of it. Sam wore his half the day. I was able to pick them up early and get ready for our friends.

Sam's Mommy and Me Halloween Party 2013

Sam was able to dress up for Mommy and Me - I love the holiday party! Here are some pictures of my not so scary Scare Crow. The kids in his class are cute. I have not made a long time connection with anyone in his class, like I made with Andrew's group. But Sam really likes going. Next week is our last one until 2014.

I was so happy he wore his hat - it really made the outfit

Pure joy - he really loves the singing and dancing!

Mitchell Farms

Mitchell Farms is a peanut farm near Laurel and during October they open the farm up for pumpkin picking. They have a ton of  things for kids to do and you end the day with picking a pumpkin. We went last year and had such a fun time. Andrew kept talking about going back - it just maybe a yearly thing we do during fall.

Here are some pictures of our fun outing.

Andrew's Last Soccer Game

October 26th was Andrew and Red Ponies last soccer game. I think this was a successful season for many reasons. Owen was the commissioner and we were able to get friends on our team. And Owen was the coach. Everything was familiar for Andrew which helps. There were some games he wasn't in to but to everyone on the team had those days - they are three after all.

Here are some pictures of the last game.

Andrew's Field Trip

Andrew's class went on a field trip last week. I was able to go and loved it. I loved visiting with the other parents, seeing Andrew with his friends and teachers. It was a great day. They went to Landrum's. It is a pioneer little town that a family in Laurel, MS has been creating for 20 years. It was fun. The kids loved running around. Here are some of the pictures I took.
