100 Days of School

In January the school celebrating being in school for 100 days. This was also with Catholic Schools Week. Sam was sick for this week. One day they asked the kids to dress as their future selves. Andrew choose to be a Falcon's football player. I have no idea where that came from him. Sam was going to a Sparkly Eye Toy Maker...but he did not make it for that day.

Neighbors

We have been getting to know our neighbors more and more lately. Once night we did a Bristles class that was really fun. We also celebrated Candice Drake's birthday in January. Fun times.

Andrew's first tooth to loose with out the dentist

Andrew has had all of his baby teeth pulled (that needed to come out). His adult teeth and baby teeth are not in the same row...so the baby teeth do not fall out as they are supposed to. BUT one bookclub night for me - our neighbors came over to hang out with Owen and the boys. Our sweet friend Lana (ironically is a dentist) wrapped a tooth of Andrew's that was barely hanging on. They tied the string connecting the tooth to a door knob. And poof the tooth came out on it's own. It was quite the production.

January Purchase

Owen and I laugh at ourselves because we usually buy something big in January. Which is the silliest thing we could do because we are recovering from Christmas and birthdays. However, we did good this year...we replaced our chandelier in our dining room. It really opened up the space. We love it.

First blog entry for new year

It is April 25th and I am just now getting to write a new entry for the 2018-2019 blog book. I have not ordered the 2017-2018 one yet...but at least I wrapped up that year with Sam's birthday.

2018 has started off different. Family and job stress have plagued Owen and me. I am not sure if we are handling it different that normal or if there is more than usual situations happening.

My boss of 10 years quit. This is a huge shock to me and to my routine. He was very flexible and relaxed about the office. I have been very nervous about how the new leadership will effect my involvement with the boys school and activities. I love being able to do everything with them and I am afraid I will now have to make choices about what activities I can be apart of. This is not how I dreamed my role as a mom would be. And for 8 years I have the luxury of working full time yet being involved full time too. I have been praying for peace.

The boys are happy as ever. They have a friendship like no other. We are blessed and has we get into the middle of 2018 - that is what I am holding onto...Owen and I are so very blessed.
