A tired little Sam

As I mentioned, Sam did not feel good. He plays so hard though and only at times do you realize he is not himself.

He was playing quietly on Sunday (July 6th) and all of a sudden we realize he is asleep.

This has never happened!! Poor thing just did not feel good. Luckily he is much better and growing strong every day.

A circus kind of day

When my parents visited for the 4th of July - we made a trip to the coast for some circus fun. The boys were so pumped up about it. I was a little giddy myself. I love going on adventures with them and having my parents around was a bonus.

Sam didn't feel good the whole time. He ended up having Hand, Foot, Mouth disease. YUCK! We didn't know what was going on with him until we saw the mouth blisters. But he was a trooper and I have guilt about pushing him...but I do think he had fun.

After the SUPER Circus the boys got to pick out a treat. Andrew wanted a stuffed animal - he picked the blue dragon. Sam went for a toy - he picked the motorcycle that drives around in the metal cage. He still plays with it. They both actually still want their toy/animal in bed at night with them.

Just like Granddad

My parents came to town on July 4th to spend time with us and to go to the circus in Gulf port. They brought the boys safety vest because the vests look just like the one my dad wears to work.

Maybe Andrew will be an engineer when he grows up :)

Cousins in town

The last week in June, Nathan and family visited. We spent time with them at Connie's a couple of times. Andrew loved swimming and Sam liked exploring the garden and animals with Allen Keene.

Nate and Wil were great with the boys. They wanted to be around them and one night we had dinner at the Munton's and there were many sounds of laughter coming from all four boys.

We were happy the cousins could spend some time together.

Sacred Heart Uniform Shopping

My friend Mandi and I took our kids to get their uniforms. I was so excited and Andrew was excited b/c he got to spend a day at home and not go to school.

After we ordered and paid for the uniforms we took the kids to lunch. It was a really fun day!!

I have been thinking about this time for along time now. And it is here - my baby is old enough to go to Sacred Heart. He is one handsome looking Pre-Kindergartener :)

4th of July Fireworks at Temple

Temple Baptist Church is where Aha and Mick go to church. Their church has a HUGE 4th of July event. This year it was the Sunday before the 4th. Nathan's family was still in town so the cousins were able to play together one last time.

We have never taken the boys to see fireworks. Not to mention taken them to something that didn't start until 9 pm. But we gave it a try. They did really good. Both of them had their crazies around 7 pm but calmed down around 8:30. Andrew's friend Graham was there and Andrew bounced back from our seats to Graham's family's. Andrew thought the fireworks were too loud. Sam was scared and cried at the start of them. But then he huddled close to me and watched with amazement.

I am really glad we went. It was hot and late when we got home, but it was fun experience.

Canebrake Country Club Fireworks

This year Andrew and I went to the Canebrake Country Club's fireworks with our friends the Cooleys, Maksi's and Powell's. Andrew had cotton candy and a snow cone for the first time.

Sam was still tired from staying out late the Sunday before watching fire works so Owen stayed home with him. Sam also acted like he felt bad so it was a good decision.

Andrew had a blast. There were many jump jumps, big slides and face painting. It was a kids dream night. He did get tired for the fireworks.

The Incredibles

Meet the Incredibles! Andrew likes to pretend we are the Incredible Family. I am the mom - ElastiGirl, Owen is the dad - Mr. Incredible, Andrew is Dash and Sam is Jack Jack . When I saw these shirts - I knew the boys needed them. Look at how strong Dash and Jack Jack are :) They make us smile.

Art Class for Andrew

Andrew and his friends Brantley and Margot took at art class. I was so impressed with the pieces of art Andrew came home with each day. They took the camp at Bristles and I will definitely be signing him up again next year. We have framed his frog and put it in his bathroom.

Andrew enjoyed going to M&M for a half day and hanging out with me in the mornings before camp. Then we would go out to eat and he would go to school in time for nap. It was a perfect week.

Owlstanding Student

Sam recently got a new teacher. We are so happy that his new teacher is Ms. Elizabeth (our babysitter). She loves Sam. She has created a new reward system and Sam is excelling at it. He gets suckers every day for being a good boy. He brings home certificates for being the "owlstanding" student. I am so proud of him.

Here is Sam in front of the reward chart...his name is on the very top! This was the first week of his super accomplishment. We are so happy and love him to pieces.
