HALLOWEEN 2020 - The Year of the dinosaur

The social distance halloween. Andrew decided he wanted to be a big blow up dinosaur. Sam had a hard time deciding - so he too went as a blow up dinosaur. Andrew is the brown one and Sam is the x-ray one.

Later we fund out that Ian and Eli also wanted to be a blow up dinosaurs. They were hilarious. You can not walk fast in these costumes. They waddled everywhere. It was the best costume to date.

This was the first year the Powell's did not trick or treat with us.

Halloween was a Saturday night. We were still cautious about socializing. I can't remember what we did afterwards. I think we went to the Welford's. All I can remember was this was the funniest halloween ever.

Meeting cousin Amelia

Abby and Heath had sweet Ameila Davis at the end of Sept 2020. We could not be there or visit because of COVID (everything in 2020 is because of COVID). But Abby needed a change of scenery and came to Hattiesburg. We got to meet Amelia when she visited. We help her and took her on a walk. It was sweet. We love her so much.

New Floors

We decided our house needed new floors. It had been something on our mind for a while. Ralphie loves a spot on the floor and it was rubbing away. The floors that were in the house when we bought them were showing their age. So we added flooring to our 2020 house updating list. The week the floors were installed we stayed in hotel. Three nights in a hotel. The kids loved it. I told Owen we need to get out more. HA!! We are so happy with the results. We went through Anderson's to pick the floor out and they installed it for us.

My Mom

2020 has been hard. I have not mentioned it much. I am not sure I know how to put into words the emotions I have felt during 2020. My mom caught Covid that turned into pneumonia. She was on a ventilator for 80 plus days. In 4 hospitals and just pitiful. I really did not know if she would come out of this horror. For 3 months we could not visit her. Luckily they lifted the visitation and we could see her - only person a day. But when that happened mom really started making positive turns to getting better. When she moved to Laird, Union MS we could see her every day. My dad visited 6 days a week and I visited on Fridays. Fridays became my favorite day of the week.

Roscoe and Soccer

Roscoe loves going to soccer games with us. He has been such a great addition to our family. The last two pictures are Roscoe at 6 months old. I didn't even try to get him to pose. He just does. He is a perfect puppy. Owen says all the time he is the best dog he has had or has known. He really is a great dog...but we are also always home. Ralphie was by himself a big portion of the day when he was a puppy. Ralphie is a great big brother. They do fight. Play fight of course. And they lay by each other now. Roscoe waits for Ralphie when they go outside. You can see the love they have for each other. Owen does not want to get Roscoe neutered, but I do. So that has not happened yet.
