Big Hero 6 party

Andrew wanted a Big Hero 6 birthday party. That is a movie that he likes so we went with the theme. We had the party at Tiger Rock Martial Arts. It was one of the best parties. Andrew invited all of his friends from school, from soccer, and from M&M. It was a great day!!

Birthday celebration at school

At school Andrew brought krispy kreme donuts for his birthday celebration snack. Everyone in his class sang to him. Brantley helped him pass out the snacks. On our way out we took a picture of him in front of his tepee he colored in art class. His is the one with the blue sky at the top. It is a big deal to get your art on display in the hallway. We were super excited for Andrew.

Andrew turns 6 years old

Our first born is six years old. Time does not stop moving. Andrew is a smart, funny, sweet and loving child. Everything we prayed for.

Andrew likes all things animals...he has so many stuffed animals and loves them all so much. He is into Star Wars, dinosaurs, legos, playing video games on the leap pad.

He loves watching tv - super hero shows are his favorite.

He also loves to be outside. The boys are able to go play in the backyard by them selves now...and Andrew loves this freedom.

Our neighbors have two little kittens - cotton and tiger. Andrew is in love. Tiger especially loves Andrew too. He wants to go outside and find tiger every day. We call Andrew the animal whisperer. He has a gentleness about him that animals are comforted by.

Some things Andrew is doing now as a six year old.

He brushes his teeth by himself.
Has started brushing his hair - and does a good job
He takes showers now
He feeds Ralphie his dinner every day - in fact...he takes really good care of Ralphie

Andrew got a pet fish for his birthday - he named him Mr. Fishy. Sam got him a power ranger megatron and Owen and I also got him a baseball shirt, baseball bag and a baseball camp this summer.

We had Aha and Mick over for birthday dinner. Andrew requested red beans and rice with carrot cake. So that is what we had.

All in all, I think it was a great birthday for our baby boy.

Mississippi State vs Ole Miss Game 2015

We went to Starkville for the Egg Bowl after Thanksgiving. I personally was looking forward to this game and weekend. The boys had a great time playing in grandmom and granddad's yard. It is a perfect yard for them to explore and be boys.

Jeb Bush who is running for President was in Starkville too. Andrew and I were lucky to see him and even take a picture of him. Andrew did not really understand why I really wanted this picture. But to me...it is history in the making. Even if Jeb does not win the election...he is the brother of two Presidents.

Mississippi State did not win the game. I could not believe it...I was pretty disappointed. But as all of our tips to Starkville - we had a the best time being with my parents.

Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving was a little different this year.  We had 2 family members missing and the absence was noticed.

We went to Owen's parents this year sand Martha's family came over too. Nathan and the boys were also in town.

I love watching the cousins play. They had a fishing tournament but it was a warm day that the fish were not around. Andrew and Sam still had fun pretending to fish.

Picnic dinner

The strangest thing happened to us before thanksgiving. A Realtor called Owen because he had a client who wanted to buy our house. WHAT??? But being two people who will entertain anything that brings in extra money we entertained the idea. If they were serious buyers we would let them look at our house. Luckily for us they weren't serious so we didn't sell it. But the afternoon they came to look at it, I took Ralphie with me to get the boys and we went to the neighborhood park for a picnic.

Christmas card pictures

I've taken our Christmas card pictures for a few years now. It is a hard task. This year proved to be another hard year. The boys don't understand my vision. (Hehehe). But I did get some really cute pictures and I really love our 2015 holiday card.

MSU vs Alabama 2015

Football time!!

Owen and I took Sam to the Mississippi State and Alabama football game. Andrew opted to stay with aunt Abby, aha and mick. I love taking the boys to the games. State has a great atmosphere for games. It's so much fun.

Bully dressed up as captain American. That is Sam's favorite super hero.

Mississippi State did not win...but we stayed the whole game and had a lot of fun with my parents.

Halloween 2015

!

I am very disappointed in myself that it has taken me so long to post about our year. I guess that means we are having fun and super busy!

We went to Sacred Heart's trunk or treat on Thursday. Then on Friday of Halloween we went to Kinsley Ferguson's for her 4th birthday party. That was a really cute party. Kinsley is Sam's friend from school. I am glad we were able to visit with his friends.

It was supposed to storm on Halloween so the city changed Trick or Treating to Friday.

But on Halloween night we went to our neighbors the Crane's. Sally had the neighbors over for potluck and movies. It was so much fun. I think it was one of our best Halloween's to date.
