2nd day - bus rides and statue of liberty

The one must see on the boy's list was to see the Statue of Liberty. The next morning we woke up and had breakfast - then set out on our adventure. We got double decker bus tickets that took us through the city. We liked this because we learned a little history and it was good transportation to get to the end of the island in order to get on a ferry to see the statue. Everything we did the boys were eager and ready for the adventure. Once we were on the ferry - Sam did not like it. He was very frightened and did not want to look at the statue or take a picture. Once we were back on land - he was better.

We also walked around to the Twin Tower memorial. Andrew knew a little bit about this from school. Sam was learning about it for the first time and had many questions. We also stepped in St. Paul's Chapel. It is an Episcopal Chapel that is the oldest building in NYC that has remained the same. George Washington had his inauguration speech in the chapel. So much history.
