blogging challenged

As you can see I am trying to put a picture in my blog header. I have tried to do this in the header but my picture is huge and it doesn't give me the shrink to size option when the picture is uploaded. Can anyone help me?

I love it though! I've had the same problem and unfortunately never figured out how to fix it. He is so precious!
