Tagged

I have been tagged and since I have some time on my hands I am accepting the challenge. Here is the challenge: Go to the 6th picture folder and take the 6th picture out and explain it. Then tag 6 other people to do the same. However, the jump drive I am using only has pictures, not folders, so I am using the 6th picture.

This picture is from a very special day. This was taken almost a year ago (2-16-08). My dad converted to Catholicism at my mom's childhood church. This is the church my brother, mom, and I were baptised in. It is St. Thomas the Apostle in Chickasaw, AL.

Not only was this a big day for my Dad but it was a big day for Owen and me as well. Before we went to my dad's ceremony we went to the coast of MS first to pick out our puppy dog. After we choose Ralphie (he was the only one who did not jump on me...I thought that was a sign he would be independent) we drove to Chickasaw. After being with my family and enjoying the day with them, we headed back to the coast to pick up our baby puppy dog. Life has not been the same since :)

OK, so now I tag, Telena, April, Heather, Becky S, Lynn, and Emily.

Grandmom's 82nd Birthday

This past Saturday I went to Mobile for my Grandmom's 82nd birthday party. She had a ladies luncheon at the Battlefield Inn located in Downtown Mobile. The Battlefield Inn is a historic building in Mobile and we were given a tour of the history after our lunch. The hotel had a whispering room where you whisper into a wall and a person can hear you on the other side of the room listening at a different wall. It was pretty amazing. After lunch my mom and I went shopping. Mobile has its Mardi Gras decorations out and I was able to get a door decoration for our front door. Hattiesburg also decorates for Mardi Gras. I just love this time of year!

Ralphie's 1st Birthday

Ralphie turned one year on December 31, 2008. Owen and I celebrated with him this past Saturday with cooking hot dogs for him. I am confident Ralphie had no idea why he was getting such special treatment, but went with the flow and had a great time. We can tell he is growing up because he is not as hyper and is ok with being left alone to explore the house without us worrying too much about him. We definitely have an eye on him...but he doesn't always know that :)

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!

It is hard to believe 2009 is here. Owen and I went to a party my friend Taylor and her husband hosted along with 9 other couples. We had such a good time spending the new year with good friends.

Ralphie's birthday was December 31st. We haven't had his birthday celebration yet, but did buy his hotdog "cake". We don't let Ralphie eat people food, but when we was at school AKA puppy training they fed him hotdogs. As you can imagine he loves them so that is his birthday treat. It rained all weekend so we had to postpone his celebration.

New Project for '09

Owen and his dad have started a tax prep business. They bought the Pro-Tax franchise. Starting a new business is very time consuming. Our days are flying by b/c Owen has such long hours. He doesn't get home until 7 or so each night and is now working weekends. It will be busy like this for 2 months or so. We want it to be busy b/c that means the business is being successful. There is alot of stress with this new adventure because you are doing so much for the 1st time. He is still working in the mortgage business as well with his dad, which means he is working two jobs right now. Busy times for the start of the new year!
