I am glad tomorrow is Friday. We have a fun trip to Jackson planned. We are in search of a high chair so we will do some research and hopefully come home with one. We also want a changing table for our room. We have found that we change Andrew in our room more than we do in his room. I can't believe we have gone this long with out getting one. We did look at Target a couple of weekends ago, but they didn't have the color we wanted. Other than that we have a pretty low key weekend planned.
Next week Andrew has a play date with a little girl from Mommy and Me. Facebook once again has helped make a friend connection. I noticed that one of the mommies is friends with some people I know so I sent her a message. It amazes me how people are connected to one another. Next Thursday Andrew will go to the park in our neighborhood to play with his new friend. She is 2 months older than Andrew.
I have realized that I have a flaw...shocking I know! Sometimes my flaw is actually beneficial but lately it is a flaw. That is I plan the next step in my head too much. I realized this about me this morning. Andrew woke up at 5 instead of us waking him up at 6:30 am. So I fed him which meant I didn't need to feed him at 6:50 like I normally do. Well this change of events led us to have 10 extra minutes in the morning. I didn't know what to do. I had nothing to do and I couldn't think what the next step of my morning was going to be. I almost got uneasy b/c I didn't know how to relax for 10 minutes. Then I realized I am like this all the time. In the evenings I don't stop until all the chores are done. And you know what? It is exhausting...but chores have to get done. But my question is why can't I relax when I have the time to relax. It is like I am on guard all the time. Owen and Andrew were having play time this morning (remember we were running ahead of schedule) and all I could think about was...Owen is going to be late. I couldn't stop and enjoy the moment b/c I was worried Owen would be late to work. But in reality no one was going to be late. I think I need to chill out. How do I do that though?

1st trip to Selma
We went to Selma this weekend to visit my parents. This was Andrew's first visit to Selma. It was a success!!! It rained all day Saturday so we had a lazy day at home. It actually turned out great b/c rain forces you to be lazy. We had a nice visit with catching up and laying low. Over all it was a great family weekend.

What to write???
It is Thursday and the day for me has slowed down so much that the next hour of work is going to be torturous. We are going to Selma tomorrow and I have a laundry list of things I need to do in order to get ready for that trip. I think time moves slower when you really need to do other things but can't. That is how I feel right now.
The ladies at Andrew's daycare think he maybe teething. They said he was a little fussy yesterday. He is not a fussy baby so this was alarming to them. I went to a wedding shower Tuesday night and Owen said he was fussy and would not stop crying for the hour or so I was gone. Also, not typical for Andrew. Last night he woke up at 5 am and wasn't hungry but wanted to chew on his pacifier. So I held him as he sucked on the pacifier until he fell asleep. I just continued to hold him until I had to get ready for work. I have been on the way too sentimental side of the spectrum this week. I am not sure what is going on...could it be my hormones stabilizing from being pregnant? Or could I just be going crazy? My answer changes by the hour.
I get very anxious in unknown territory with Andrew. I was like this before he was born about breastfeeding. But I got that down to perfection. Now I am entering into the world of teething and rice cereal (still haven't done that by the way...now I am waiting until we get a high chair...any recommendations on a brand of high chair that is good???) Before I had Andrew I thought a 4 1/2 month old was still so tiny but in reality a 4 1/2 month old is so big. He is rolling over and sleeping on his side. He is starting to copy our mannerisms (which is hilarious). We have been practicing sitting up and I think he will be doing that on his own in no time. He uses his leg muscles to stand up and the look on his face is priceless. He is so proud of his standing accomplishment.
So this is why I have been sentimental crazy Erin...I don't know how to handle my little infant becoming a big boy :( The changes are happening so fast. They are fun and exciting and I go to bed each night in amazement and wonder that our little man is growing up. I know this is just the beginning of new wonders and I am looking forward to see the world through Andrew's eyes...I just wish time didn't move so fast.

New Orleans, LA
Owen, Andrew and I had a fun weekend. On Saturday we decided to make a day trip to New Orleans. I would like to purchase a China Cabinet and new end tables and coffee table for our living room. So we thought it would be fun to go antiquing in New Orleans. We went to Magazine St, which was a first for both of us. So we walked (and strolled Andrew) up and down Magazine Street. Did I find what I was looking for??? Yes, I mentally spent $21,000 on an antique china cabinet from France (19th century) and two end tables from France as well, same period. Let's just say I got a little discouraged that I am not going to find antique furniture for our house that I can actually afford. Regardless we had a great time. After shopping we went to Jackson Square to get a picture of Andrew in a recognizable spot in New Orleans to document his first trip. Then we finished up the trip with dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. The noise and environment was over load for Andrew but he enjoyed it. He didn't know where and what to look at b/c there was so much for him to see!

Question on the blog
Hey Friends,
I have put a poll on the right hand side of my blog. I need some mommy help!!! Andrew loves cuddling with his lamb lovie when he goes to sleep. Here is a picture of what I am talking about.
This isn't the exact one, but close enough. Andrew loves grabbing onto it. I get nervous about him sleeping with it in his crib. Our pediatrician said no and you would think that would be enough for me, but I wanted to get some mom opinions on it as well. Thanks!!

Sweet Picture
Here is a sweet picture of Andrew at the Garden Club Easter Egg Hunt. Luckily someone took a picture of him. I forgot my camera. This is how he was the entire party. He is such a content baby. He had two birthday parties to go to this weekend and he was a trooper at both of them.
When he woke up this morning...I would have sworn he grew more over night! His face evolves and changes daily.

4 months olds
Andrew is now four months old! I can't believe it. He is changing every day and becoming such a little man. I call him little man every day. He just looks like one. Andrew is all boy...no one has confused him for a little girl.
We had our 4 month well baby check up on Tuesday. I took the day off because I also had to get my permanent crown later that afternoon. So Tuesday was a busy day of doctor's appointments.
Here are Andrew's 4 month stats:
Weight: 15 lbs and 15 ounces (75th percentile)
Height: 25 7/8 inches (80th percentile) - he grew 2 inches in 2 months!
Head Circumference: 16 7/8 inches (65th percentile)
The visit was very good and Andrew handled his shots ok. He cried, but he was really sleepy so it took me a little longer to calm him down that it did at the 2 month visit. Once we got in the car he fell asleep.
I bought rice cereal to start practicing with the spoon. I have to be very honest that I am not ready for cereal or juice or anything that makes me think my baby isn't an infant any more. So we aren't diving into cereal just yet...but we do have it in the house along with some apple juice. But I am making no firm commitments that I will be giving any of these to Andrew in the near future. His pediatrician told me I have until 6 months...so I maybe procrastinating a little on this one.
Here are some Andrew facts:
* He found his feet a couple of weeks ago and loves to grab them and put them in his mouth
* He goes to "sleep" between 6-7 pm. I say "sleep" b/c we have him in the living room with us until the 8-9 hour. I feed him one last time during 8-9 and then we put him in his crib. However, this week I am trying to put him his crib between 6 and 7 pm. I can't decide if I want that to be the last feeding of the night or wake him up b/ 8-9 pm to eat again. It is a work in progress.
* He is still a great sleeper. In fact last night we had a terrible storm and he slept through it.
* He loves his exersaucer. He grabs at all of the objects and he moves his feet to rotate his position in order to play with more objects.
* He is a happy baby...loves to smile and coo.
* He is laughing now
* He recognizes us and smiles
* He notices Ralphie more and more. Oh and Ralphie is becoming protective of him. This is especially apparent when we hold Andrew in the air. Ralphie thinks this is dangerous and will bark and growl at our feet until we put Andrew down.
* He has rolled over a couple of times. We have only seen him roll over from tummy to back once. We have seen him roll over from back to tummy several times.
* He is a verbal baby. He is still working on his vowels. He got a sing along cd for Easter. There are songs for each letter of the alphabet...so we have been listening to that in hopes that letters and vowels will make sense to him when he is ready to "talk".
Hopefully I hit the highlights for the last two months. Andrew engages in life and his surroundings. I love it! It helps me look at the world with new eyes! Such a joy.
Here are pictures from his "4 month photo shoot" :) HA! You will notice that my sign and the actual date I took the picture are a day off. I forgot to take the picture on the 3rd, but what is one day????

Easter Pictures
We had a nice Easter Sunday. We stayed in Hattiesburg and went to church. Andrew was pretty antsy during mass so Owen and Andrew stayed outside. It was a little lonely during mass without my family :( After church we went to the Munton's for lunch. Owen's mom cooked a delicious meal and they gave us sweet Easter baskets. Here are some pictures we took before church.

Good Friday was a Good Day
I took off Friday because the Garden Club I am in had its Easter Egg Hunt. This Easter Egg confused me for some reason. I thought the hunt was last week. Then I thought the hunt started at 10, but it started at 10:30 am, so I was really early. Lastly, everyone brought their husbands and grandparents to the hunt as well. I didn't know about this part. This is my first year in Garden Club so I guess I am still learning how it all works. Regardless Andrew and I had a great time visiting with friends. Here are some pictures I took before we left. Oh yeah...I took these pictures and then forgot the camera at home. It was just one of those days.
After the Easter Egg Hunt we met up with my cousin Nellie and her two little girls. Andrew "met" them for the first time last Sunday, but he was asleep for that visit. This time he was awake so we got some cute pictures of them.

Cousin Emma and Andrew
Our fun day did not end there. When we got home Aunt Abby came over and we took Ralphie, Annie (Abby's golden retriever) and Andrew for a walk.
Andrew ready for to stroll. His poor little cheeks got a little sunburned. I made a rookie mommy mistake and didn't put sunscreen on his face for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Good Friday was indeed a Good day!

Dropbox
I had great intentions of posting pictures from Andrew's Easter Egg hunt yesterday. I am learning dropbox and have that program on our home computer. I downloaded the pictures into dropbox last night with the hope that I could load that program on my work computer and have them available to post on the blog. Somehow the pictures didn't show up today when I installed dropbox. Oh well...hopefully by Monday I will have figured it out!
Happy Easter!
