Sam's Mommy and Me Halloween Party 2013

Sam was able to dress up for Mommy and Me - I love the holiday party! Here are some pictures of my not so scary Scare Crow. The kids in his class are cute. I have not made a long time connection with anyone in his class, like I made with Andrew's group. But Sam really likes going. Next week is our last one until 2014.

I was so happy he wore his hat - it really made the outfit

Pure joy - he really loves the singing and dancing!

Mitchell Farms

Mitchell Farms is a peanut farm near Laurel and during October they open the farm up for pumpkin picking. They have a ton of  things for kids to do and you end the day with picking a pumpkin. We went last year and had such a fun time. Andrew kept talking about going back - it just maybe a yearly thing we do during fall.

Here are some pictures of our fun outing.

Lots of pictures - but there were so many things to do and see - we had to capture all the moments!!

Andrew's Last Soccer Game

October 26th was Andrew and Red Ponies last soccer game. I think this was a successful season for many reasons. Owen was the commissioner and we were able to get friends on our team. And Owen was the coach. Everything was familiar for Andrew which helps. There were some games he wasn't in to but to everyone on the team had those days - they are three after all.

Here are some pictures of the last game.

Andrew's Field Trip

Andrew's class went on a field trip last week. I was able to go and loved it. I loved visiting with the other parents, seeing Andrew with his friends and teachers. It was a great day. They went to Landrum's. It is a pioneer little town that a family in Laurel, MS has been creating for 20 years. It was fun. The kids loved running around. Here are some of the pictures I took.

It was a really fun day and I look forward to many more field trips.

Samuel is now 22 months

My sweet, adorable little man is now 22 months old. It is beyond hard to believe and this month he is doing so many new things.

His personality shines so bright. I am amazed everyday at him and love him more than words. Both Owen and me do...he is funny and makes the room filled with love and laughter. He is still mischievous and his swiping ways are still there - just not as bad as they once were. But even when he is causing troubles, his face is too cute to really get mad at him. This will be a problem for me in years to come.

Here are some recent pictures of Samuel.

Sam at Mommy and Me - this is his cheese face - I find it too cute and funny

Weekend play time - not sure what face his is making here

Bath time - Sam has discovered he likes to lay on his belly during bath. This is fun for him but makes me a nervous wreck

He also likes to be naked. He is my naked baby! I found him like this playing with no clothes on one morning.

He is so happy!

My almost 2 year toddler!!!

Sam being Sam
 Somethings that are new now with Sam are:

* He is saying Sam! And all things that start with an S
* He knows what he wants and can communicate that
* He is a talker - oh my! the stories this one wants to tell. He still talks is gibberish a little, especially when he talks fast
* Answers your questions
* Knows how to count to 5! I am not kidding - we are impressed.
* Favorite color is orange. He can also point out colors pretty well

We are so lucky to have him in our life!!!

Someone likes to sleep in the buff

Last night Owen went to check in on Sam and this is how he found him.

He apparently did not want to sleep with his diaper (or pants). This would have been ok except he tee teed in the bed and soaked everything including his blanket (beck). He did not back to sleep for an hour b/c we had to quickly wash and dry beck :) Fun night!!! and Fun memories!!!

Busy Weekend

The past Saturday we had soccer pictures and then the game. After the game we left for Starkville. It was a busy weekend but I think the boys had fun and that is all that matters.

Here are some cute pictures from the game.

Pirate Week

Last week Andrew learned about Pirates at M&M. Here he is with the pirate hat he made.

Sam is 21 months old

Sam is now a 21 month old baby. He is still my baby and he knows it. He does not say his name is Sam. He says his name is baby. This started months ago when we would ask him who the baby is and he pointed to himself. We would all giggle and show such attention to that. And now he is still saying it but truth be told - I love it. We know he knows his name but he wants to the baby and I am fine with that.

This is still his "cheese" face

Mommy and Sam (21 months)
Last week I tried to get a picture of him for the blog but we wanted a mommy and me picture.

He shows me everyday that he is a mommy's boy. I love it. Some things he is going are:

* His language is exploding. He is started to use 2 and 3 words together more and more
* He knows what is "his" and "mine" almost too well.
* He likes waffles in the morning and still loves whole milk. Doesn't need chocolate or strawberry flavoring for this little one - just plain milk
* Luckily he has a fond taste for hot dogs - I say luckily b/c this is Andrew's favorite meal too
* He likes trucks and mickey mouse
* Loves music
* He transitioned to his big bed perfectly - we are so proud of him
* Recognizes colors - especially blue and yellow
* He is not the best with animal sounds or picking out animals. He does loves dogs though and can pick out a dog
* Still loves shoes and likes to pick shoes out for the day
* Brushes his own teeth
* Wants to tee tee in the potty (but not really)

Sam is the funniest little guy we know. He has the best facial expressions and is our little performer. WE love him SOOO much!!!
