February 2017 was a busy month. The fire station pictures are from Catholic Schools Week. Andrew's class had the Hattiesburg Fire Department as their community helper. The class donated snacks for them firefighters to keep handy while they work their shifts. I was able to take 5 of his classmates to the fire station to give them the basket full of goodies. It was a huge laundry basket of snacks. The firefighters were very grateful and gave these 5 kids the best tour!
Also in February the boys participated in USM's fan day. They went to a mini camp and had a great time. They met the players who signed posters for them. And the head Coach - Coach Barry gave them a great pep talk. I think the boys enjoyed themselves. Sam on his own wore a MSU shirt underneath his jacket. He is a funny boy. :)
SOCK HOP TIME!!! Also during Catholic Schools week Pre-k through 2nd grade got to have a sock hop! I planned it and was really happy with how it turned out. USM dancers helped us with the dances. They were spot on with the 1950s style theme of dance. It was such a cute day and one I will remember.
Valentines Day!! Also a favorite holiday. The boys got "glittery eye" stuffed animals and something else (can't remember). Owen got me flowers which were beautiful. I got him a shirt. It is a fun day to celebrate love and family. Sam's class had a party and I was able to attend that.
Meet Rosie - Mick and Aha's new golden retriever puppy. We wanted Ralphie to meet her to see how he would do with a puppy. And not surprising (because Ralphie is the best dog) Ralphie showed Rosie nothing but love. It was cute to watch him play with her.
Andrew is in tiger cups this year. Owen is the den leader. It was a good year. I think both Owen and Andrew really enjoyed it. These pictures are from the pinewood derby. Owen really got into building this car. He put a lot strategy into and it paid off. Andrew won 1st place in the tiger cup group. It was a fun day. Mick and Aha also came to watch the races.
Silly picture of Sam's Pre-K class. I think this is when we went to Laurel, MS on the train. After the train we went to a really neat park and played and had lunch. He was a sweet class.
MARDI GRAS PARADE!! We did not really get into mardi gras this year. Next year I hope to take the boys to a parade in Mobile. But luckily SHS held a parade and the kids got to enjoy that. We also had a couple of days off which was very nice.
Andrew at Waffle House - he ate 2 waffles by himself - this was a first so we took a picture.
