For the three day MLK break we were invited to got the beach with the Muntons. I jumped at the chance. I was ready for a change of scenery!! We woke up on Saturday and drove down. It was perfect. The weather cooperated with us too, except for Sunday. It was rainy and cold in the morning so we went to the Naval Museum in Pensacola. The boys LOVED it. They were able to climb in some of the planes and touch all the buttons. Then they both were able to pick out a toy from the museum shop. Andrew picked out a stuffed Blue Angel plan that can land in water. Sam picked out a pilot teddy bear. Both boys were so good and so happy with their new toys.

Andrew stories
I don't write monthly updates anymore but I don't want to miss fun stories the boys are doing at this age.
Andrew is a joy. He has great friendships.
One Friday afternoon his friend vivvie's dad, Aron came to pick her up from school and Andrew asked if vivvie and he could go to movie star for dinner. Aron called us to tell us of the date plans. Apparently the two talked about it all day. They were so cute together.
Another story is that Andrew woke up early Sunday morning so we watched tv together. As I was searching for nick jr (his new favorite channel) he said "mom Dino Dan is on". And it was. Andrew read the tv menu. I was shocked!!!
I knew Andrew would be a great big brother but he proved it this weekend. Owen had the boys outside while I cleaned inside. They were in the garage and looking at a sharp tool. Owen told them it was a sharp and could hurt. Sam was going in to touch it and Andrew body slammed him on the ground shouting "no Sam, it's sharp, you will get hurt". I loved Owen shared that story. It shows the love that is growing with those two and it makes me the happiest mommy.
Sam and the potty
Being the younger brother has some advantages. One being Sam is going to the potty!!! WHAT??? He has been going tee tee in the potty for several weeks now. Last week he wore underwear to school and had only one accident!!!
First came the pull ups and then his teacher said it was easier for her if he wore underwear. Sam picked out Thomas the Train and Jake the pirate underwear. We haven't really gotten serious at home but I am thinking if he continues to do well at school that we up the seriousness at home too.
So proud of this little guy!!!

Andrew's TOTS performance
Saturday Andrew had a TOTs performance. He has a TOTs class once a week. They learn ball skills and fun songs that help with counting, shapes, and Spanish. It is fun to see him in performing. He did great this year. They were the half time show for Sumrall High School basketball. I think Andrew had a really good time.

Holidays with the Muntons
Owen's brother Nathan and his family came to visit from North Carolina. I am glad their boys and ours can see each other on a yearly basis. We also go to together with Owen's cousins. I love them and it is always so fun to hang out. This year was no exception.
We will definitely take away fun memories from this visit.

2013 Christmas!
Christmas time - a magical time - a family time - the best time of the year! That's Christmas at our house!!
Santa came and the boys had a great time. After a yummy breakfast of sausage and egg casserole (another new tradition) we played more and then went to the Munton's for Christmas lunch.
We could not have asked for a better holiday!

Lewis Lights
My parents came into town on the 23rd and we all went to Lewis Lights for the first time. It was so much fun. I have never been either so it was really neat. Andrew loved it. They had all the kids characters out on display. Sam could care less about taking pictures - until we got to Barney! That is the only picture we could get of Sam.
Andrew bounced and smiled and was in awe! It was a magical night.

On Christmas Eve we set out cookies for Santa and chocolate milk. We even left carrots out for the reindeer.
I am in love with this stage of childhood.
Sam is 2 Year's Old
Sam is now 2! Hard to believe but he is every bit of a 2 year old. His voice is getting stronger and he sounds alot like Andrew. Sometimes it is hard for me to tell the difference. He knows his full name and has learned Owen and my name. He knows he is 2 and will answer all of these questions when asked. He gets really proud of himself.
Sam is learning to be a big boy. He is still mischievous but he is starting a listen a little more. He is actually taking one more bite when we ask him. Or doing something we ask in order to get what he wants. This is a very new thing for Sam.
On his birthday Sam requested mickey mouse pancakes.
Big brother loved helping Sam open his gifts. Sam wanted to look and study each gift before opening up another one. Andrew did not understand this. He wanted everything open.
We played all day. My parents were in town. That afternoon we went to church. Then we came home to celebrate Sam again with our 2nd annual red beans and rice birthday dinner. Owen's parents came over too so it was really special and fun.
It was a good day and Sam knew it was a day for him. We sang Happy Birthday Jesus at church and Sam thought everyone was singing to him. He is a special baby with a special birthday.
