Samuel Marshall is at the perfect age. He is loving and can communicate really well. He loves his family and especially his momma. He gives the best compliments. He tells me he loves me because I am his momma and because I am pretty. He compliments my clothes. He notices if I do something different, like paint my fingernails. He is a charmer...that little Sam. I could not love him more.
He is a natural born coach and leader. Owen and I are constantly amazed and that was Sam will encourage people. He is going to do great things. We can't wait to watch.
Right now, he says he wants to play tennis. He has never really said he wanted to play a sport. I think tennis lessons are in his future.
Lastly, and my favorite...he has started taking a nap with me. When he is tired on the weekends, he comes and curls up with me on the couch or chair and lulls himself to sleep. Well...with a lot of leg and arm scratches. He LOVES to have a back scratch.
Sam is just a great kid!!!

Andrew's Summertime
To start...I am feeling better. My nose still feels like someone kicked it. I am still trying to cure the infection in my sinuses. But I am up and I have energy to do things without a headache. I am feeling better.
For some reason the blog has not been something I think about on a daily basis like in years past. I hope this changes, because I do want to remember all the stages of the boys life.
Which made me think...I need to document what Andrew did this summer. Sam has been at day care but his last day is July 28th. So excited about that!!!
Andrew's Summer schedule:
June 1-3 - My parents came to town to watch the boys for us
June 6-9 - He participated in 59 Baseball camp and both Sam and Andrew went to VBS at St. Fabians
June 13-17 - Went to Jump In gymnastics for the day - He says this is his favorite
June 20-24 - Both boys went to Bristles Art Camp and we had our babysitter pick them up and play with them until I got home from work.
June 27-30 -Andrew went to Starkville to spend time with my parents. He also attended MSU's little bulldog camp
July 5-8 - Went to Temple Baptist's all day camp
July 11-15 - back to Jump In gymnastics
July 18-14 - USM baseball camp and then spent the rest of the day with me :)
July 25-29 - back to Temple Baptist camp
August 1-4 - BEACH TRIP
It's been a busy summer. I try to not make it too busy....but I still work so I do need fun things for Andrew to do. Next year will be interesting with both boys needing activities.

Sinus surgery
We have so much going on in our lives. But I've been sick all summer with sinus problems.
I finally scheduled sinus surgery and had it yesterday.
I was extremely nervous. And want to document my feelings.
Day of was very nerve racking. My blood pressure was sky high when they took it at the surgery center. Nurses were alarmed. That has never happened for me.
Owen and I have fabulous friends. They have scduled meals for us all week. Owens mom has helped with the boys too. I didn't want to do this surgery because I didn't know how the boys would manage without me. But it takes a village and I learn that every day.
The boys reactions have been so different. Andrew cried seeing me. Said he didn't want to see me like this. Sam checks on me a lot. I love them so much and am ready to be well for them.
