Ralphie's Hair Cut

Ralphie is getting quite cranky in his old age. He barks more than any dog should - and for no reason. He barks at his own shadow, a tree, a leaf in the wind, a squirrel, or the boys. He barks all day long.

Ralphie is also very furry. We call him the furry beast. While we were in Disney...we had the bright idea that Ralphie needed a real big boy hair cut. He was at the vet and they were going to groom him anyway - so I called and asked if they could cut his hair short. His hair had been getting very tangled and there were some spots that we could not brush out.

I was pretty nervous to see him when I picked him up. Even the vet tech who takes care of Ralphie came out to watch my expression when I saw Ralphie for the first time.

His hair cut reminds me of him as a puppy. I know we are the only family to shave their dog in the WINTER!! but luckily we live in the south. He is a much skinnier dog than we thought. It is now growing back and I am happy about that. I like the longer hair Ralphie better :)

New Furniture

There is this antique warehouse in Theodore Alabama that Owen and I love. We have bought many things from there. Charles Phillips is the warehouse and they posted a lot of cute pictures on facebook one week. I showed them to Owen and we both decided we need to check it out. They bring containers of furniture from Europe and India. We like the French country look. We went down there looking for a piece for our entry. We bought a piece of furniture - a HUGE piece. When we got in the house it did not work. AT. ALL. We tried to sell it but had no luck. So we went back the next weekend and exchanged it. Luckily we did find the perfect piece. Both of us are so happy!! The picture of the boys is from the first visit. They handle our trips pretty well. Luckily, Aha and Mick watched them second trip. It really helped not having them there so we can search for the perfect piece!! No more furniture for a while! :)

Our Little Sam

Sam continues to be a fun and happy kid. He has such a sense of humor. His teacher, Miss Claire asked everyone in the class questions about themselves and I loved getting a glimpse into what Sam thinks.
